Cozy Up!

The cool and rainy weather this week has left me dreaming of a quiet night in front of a warm fire. Don't have a working fireplace? Check out these unique takes on the traditional fireplace!

Nursery: Phase One

We recently moved into a new home, and I immediately went to work on the nursery. It's coming along nicely! There is a bookshelf project waiting in the wings and I have to figure out what to do with the other side of the room, but I'm rather pleased with my progress! I think my little one likes it, too!

Bargain Find!

I came across this damask tape on Amazon ($7.99 per roll) and immediately ordered a roll! What a great and easy way to dress up packages without wrapping paper. My mind is already reeling with other project ideas! Stay posted!

Shabby Chic

Sigh. Another fabulous company trying to brave the economy. Read Rachel Ashwell's post here.

Before the Rain

I ran outside and took this photo before the rain started to fall this morning. So pretty!

White Paint: The Ultimate Makeover Tool

My husband received these rather masculine-looking bookends as a gift, and as a quick project I decided (with his permission) to give them a chic makeover with a fresh coat of glossy white paint. Ahhh, much better!

Everything Amy

I took a spontaneous trip to the fabric store yesterday hoping to stumble upon something fabulous and walked away with a lovely turquoise damask print and the Spring 2009 edition of Better Homes and Gardens Creative Home. I was so excited to read the Amy Butler interview! The above fabrics are from her Midwest Modern 2line, and the images are of her design studio, which I find to be absolutely beautiful. Makes me think I should spiff up my work space!
